Watching Merlin... he is such an Idiotic Gryffindor!  ... !!!!!!! So much that it merits excess exclamation points, even. Relentlessly so. He doesn't learn, and he tries to stand up to a guy when he's got nothing to back it up - nothing that won't get him executed, anyway.

Mom would hate this, because it takes the very very basics of the Merlin/Arthurian legends, as far as I can tell, and does whatever it wants with them. She's really into Merlin-accuracy. Anyway. I quite like it so far. I like Merlin too, despite his... relentless lack of any subtlety or self-interest. Also, "Guenevere-call-me-Gwen"... yeah.

Um. Anyway. Also, I'm wondering how Uther (Anthony Stewart Head, squee-flail-jump-around-wildly) got the dragon deep underground in the first place, in such a way no one can free him. Certainly not with magic.
